jewelry design & fabrication
Before learning to work with metal I trained and worked as a glassblower. During
this time I found myself drawn to the tiny glowing pieces that would fall to the
studio floor. I collected these in what grew to be buckets full of beautiful sharp
objects waiting to be made into something. Seeing my desire to make jewelry out of
the glass my husband gave me a metals class as a gift. Since then I have left my
sharp scraps behind and I blow glass specifically for the silver. This fusion of skill and
material allow me to translate the intricacies of the glass into a wearable and widely
accessible form.

Living in Westport, Massachusetts a small coastal town gives me most of my
inspiration. Being able to take the colors I see in a winter storm or the undulating
beach grass and make a peice of jewelry out of thatidea gives me such satisfaction.
My goal is to generate an overall aesthetic in my work that reflects the changes in
nature throughout the seasons which effects the emotions of the wearer.
